Class of 2021 Top247 5 Star Athletic Comps

Tracking Football has been dedicated to the development of creative new tools which leverage the millions of data points the company has collected on football players. Recently our team has been testing out a new ‘comp algorithm’. The idea is that users can select any player from HSFB, CFB or NFL population and identify their closest matches at a position. The tool can be set to stay within HSFB, CFB, NFL or cross between the populations. The algorithm also lets the user toggle between a variety of different attributes when identifying closest matches including: PAI Score, Combine Score, Body Type, Star Rating & Multi-Sport Participation.

Currently there are 12 players in the 2021 class that have been rated 5 star Top247 prospects. The comp algorithm was set to find the closest three CFB athletic matches for each of these players. Notice the factors included for the comp algorithm change based on the amount of athletic data available for the prospects.
