Read on to learn everything you need to know about the new and improved Tracking Football.

General dashboard updates—

What makes the updated dashboard better?

The new Tracking Football dashboard provides users with instant access to new players and more engagement with the site.

Users can set preferences and alerts to better access the specific players and types of players they want to evaluate. Additionally, it provides snapshots of every FBS and FCS program’s recruiting classes and level of athleticism by recruit.

What are some of the new filtering options included on the dashboard?

Tracking Football has been known for its ability to provide users with filters for data. The new dashboard takes it further by providing filters for player metrics previously unavailable, like transfer portal tagging, conference offers, wingspan, hand, track event performance by year, expanded geographic location, and more.

What type of information is included in the updated player profile snapshots?

The new player profile snapshots are a lot of fun! We worked closely with multiple college programs and an NFL team to create more detailed—and more innovative—profiles.

The player profile snapshots include expanded personal information, player accolades, expanded athletic grades (Madden Ratings), more athletic analytics, expanded “TeamSelect” options, user notes, and—best of all—comparable players are included on every profile.

Can you customize which player updates information appears on your dashboard?

Yes. Every user can easily customize their new dashboard by setting up their player preferences and using multiple options to set alerts or save players. These functions will provide users the ability to customize incoming updates and information to their dashboard.

Users also have the option to receive daily emails updating specific players based on user preferences and player alerts.

Can Tracking Football send player update information to my smartphone?

Yes. Tracking Football allows clients to customize which data they want to be pushed to any device.

How does the expanded “TeamSelect” feature work?

Similar to our original dashboard, users can choose any team as an “anchor” for grades and relevance of raw athletic data. The new dashboard also allows more depth and expanded team selections from Division I-FBS to FCS. Once a team is selected, a quick snapshot will be visible on the dashboard.

Player profile updates—

What makes the updated player profile snapshots better?

The new website will display a reimagined player profile starting with a more user-friendly layout. The profiles will include easy access to track, combine, and multi-sport analysis and team-by-team analytics. The profiles include an area for user notes and color code tagging for user evaluation. Madden-like ratings are available on each profile too to help users breakdown track and combine performance. Additionally, EVERY player profile will include five player comps. There’s nothing like the new profiles delivered by Tracking Football!

How does the new notes feature work on profiles? Is there a limit to how many notes you can include?

Users can apply notes to any profile with evaluation points and other insights about the player. These notes can be applied and saved to any profile in our system and can be retrieved at any time. Notes are viewable only to the specific user.

What kind of athletic grades information is incorporated into player profiles?

The new player profiles will include Madden-like ratings and graphic rating bars. These new rating bars provide a more interactive and exciting way to view and understand player performance.

How does the comparable players feature work?

Every player profile will display five top player comps based on Tracking Football’s new comparison algorithm. Each time a user visits a player profile they will see five player comparables basically providing a mini-recruiting list for users to explore. Every user can also navigate from each player profile to the player comparison page and pull player comparables leveraging our entire player database!

Depth chart updates—

How can you use the updated depth chart functionality to improve my opponent scouting reports?

The new website will provide subscribers at the Advanced and Advanced Plus levels access to the college depth chart feature. This feature gives users the ability to put together depth charts on every FBS and FCS program. The drag and drop and add/edit functions make putting together depth charts easy and every player added to a depth chart has a downloadable pdf report with all Tracking Football’s information.

This feature could also be used by programs to create position room depth charts and boards too! This new feature has a lot of flexibility built in.

Which different types of information from player profiles can you pull in your depth charts?

Players can be added by dragging and dropping from a list or added manually. There are editable areas for player position, player jersey number, player height, player weight, and even a notes section to apply and needed info.

Additionally, Tracking Football’s PAI, Combine score, and Division I percentiles auto-fill with each player selected and placed in the depth chart template. Downloadable pdf reports are available for each player included on a depth chart.

How many players can you add to a depth chart?

The depth chart feature provides addition of first and second string players for each offensive, defensive, and special teams positions.

  • Every position area can be edited or renamed to reflect the specific scheme of any opponent.
  • 50-60 players can be included in each depth chart and all depth charts can be saved and retrieved for future use.
